SPRINGHILL RV PARK
This park is in Cochrane, Alberta and we stayed here because we found it online. We discovered that there is a difference when you look at pictures on a website and the reality. This park has full hookup with 30 AMP electric, water, sewer and WiFi. No cable, but you can get four Calgary stations with the antenna. The sites were gravel, but there was no weed control and there were a lot of weeds growing through the gravel. They also had a log type fence at the exit of every site and they did not leave a lot of room to leave your site through this fence.

CANADA WEST RV PARK
This park is just on the west side of Revelstoke, BC. They have full hookups, with 30 amp service, water, sewer and cable. There is a swimming pool on site, washrooms and a laundry. The maintenance is pretty good and the staff friendly. It makes a good overnight stop if traveling the Trans Canada Highway. Revelstoke is known for the railroad museum and you can hear the trains in the park. There is also a bit of highway noise that you have to deal with.

THUNDERBIRD RV PARK
Hi Karen & Ron , I was reading your website about campground reviews. I thought I would let you know about this one. We just got back from Campbell river. We stayed at Thunderbird Campground for 7 days. What a beautiful place to stay. If you guy’s are ever going to Campbell River try it out. It's a real nice place to stay. It's got full hook up 30/ 50 Amp service, water, sewer, wireless internet, plus cable. The bathrooms are spotless. The people are real friendly, the campground is real clean. Yes.. dog & cats are welcome. We have a 5th wheel, 24 feet no problems parking, with a ocean view. They have summer and winter rates also. It's real close to a big shopping center. OK, thanks Fred

LAKE OKANAGAN PROVINCIAL PARK
Lake Okanagan Provincial Park, between Peachland and Summerland is right on Okanagan Lake. They have two campgrounds here, the South Campground and the North Campground. The most popular for RV'ers is probably the South Campground. They do have big enough sites for most sizes of RV's. The sites have no hookups which is normal for a Provincial Park in British Columbia, but they are quite large even though in this particular park, they try and get as many in as possible. All the sites are gravel with tables and the maintenance is okay. There were some weeds growing through the gravel in the sites and we did notice on this trip that they seem to have stopped trimming trees. We had to do a bit of a haircut on one in our site so they would not scratch the motor home. There are very nice washrooms with free showers and they were quite clean when we were there. All in all if you enjoy a bit of rustic camping once in awhile then the Provincial Campgrounds are a good way to go.

WALTON'S LAKEFRONT RESORT
This is an excellent park in Osoyoos, BC.
The sites are large and paved with manicured grass and full hookups with 30 and 50 AMP service. Cable and wireless internet. They have a swimming pool, hot tub and are right on Osoyoos Lake for boating, swimming and watersports.
There is a large lounge for entertaining guests and a pool table to enjoy in the evenings. They have an outdoor patio with BBQ for group functions or just for RV'ers to use as a gathering spot for socializing.
Maintenance is excellent and they have a two hour window from check out to check in to ensure all the sites are clean, tidy and ready to use when you check in.
All the facilities are new and so are all the sites. This has been an RV Park for many years, but now they have totally re-done the whole thing. They are selling lots in the park, but it is only for RV's as I saw no park models at all.
The rental pool is large and we had no trouble getting in for a week in August.

KELOWNA RV PARK & CABINS
This is another new park.
Only been open since March this is a small park with just six sites, built in an Orchard, in Kelowna, BC.
Rob and Karen Hatch are doing an excellent job getting this little park to be an intimate, homey place to stay. The park has full hookups with 30 AMP power, water, sewer and cable TV. There is a great swimming pool with a nice gazebo with very comfortable couches to rest on, tables and chairs next to the huge BBQ that is available to the guests, and lots of pool chairs and lounges to make spending the day at the pool very inviting.
There are new cabins on site as well for rent and that will make this a great place to meet your non RV'er friends for a great getaway. They can stay in the cabins while you have your RV site.
Because of the small nature of this park, it is advisable to make reservations as it does not take long to fill up. But when this park is full it is still intimate and quiet. It is close to all that Kelowna has to offer and would make a great base for touring the Okanagan.
The only down side we found was the trees at the entrance were quite low and becuase the driveway is narrow you have to drive on the dirt of the orchard to avoid the tree branches from doing interesting things to your air conditioners on top of your rig. But having said that, there was room to avoid them. The only other litttle problem was the sites are not clearly marked and there was some confusion on where and how to park. This will probably be rectified once they are totally finished. The sites have no tables so make sure you bring your own.

ROYALWOOD GOLF & RV RESORT
Rack Em and Stack Em
This park between Chilliwack and Abbotsford is definitely set up with the Rack Em and Stack Em philosophy. The sites are close together and they are almost like a gravel parking lot. We did have room to put out our slide and canopy, but our slide was probably infringing on our neighbors site.
The person who checked us in was more than accomadating, trying to give us the site we wanted and was very friendly.
The park has 30 and 50 AMP service with full cable and excellent wireless internet. They have full hookup with water and sewer.
One thing we did notice was the freeway noise, as the park is very close to the freeway. The advantage to this is the ease to get out to do some touring in the surrounding area.
What we did not like was the mosquitos. They were plenty and hungry and the only time we could sit outside was in the hot afternoon when the wind was blowing. As soon as it started to cool off in the evening it was into the RV to keep from being eaten alive. Not sure what the season is for these insects, but we were in the park July 1st and they were a force to recon with.
Because of the close quarters of the sites, the mosquitos, and the maintenance was lacking with washrooms not clean and weeds growing in the sites.

DESERT LAKE RV RESORT This is a very nice RV Park right on a small lake just on the outskirts of Oliver BC. The sites are gravel and they have gravel pull throughs with grass at the side for your chairs and their picnic table. They have full hookup with 30 and 50 AMP service, water, sewer, cable and wireless internet. There is a small club house with computer to check e-mails and very clean washrooms. A lot of the lake front sites are rented out on a permanent basis and if you are just going for a short stay you will have to park in the pull throughs in the middle. Although most of those sites have a view of the lake. The only drawback to the sites in this park are the trees that when they were first planted were not a problem, but now they make it a little touchy to get a big rig into and out of the site without rubbing along the branches and depending on where you park on the site they may interfer with your awning. Maintenance of this park is really good and the sites and common areas are very nice. June / 2009 _____________________________________________________________

TWIN LAKES GOLF AND RV RESORT If you are a golfer and you like quiet this is the park for you. Located on Hwy 3A just out of Penticton on the way to Keremeos this park has gravel sites with grass to put your chairs on and picnic tables. They have full hookup with 30 AMP service, water, and sewer. There was a cable hookup, but we could not get any channels at all with the cable or with they antenna. There was also no FM radio reception at the park. We could only get 1 AM station on the radio. They told us they have wireless internet in the park, but as we did not have our computers we could not check it out. We were also told we could get two TV stations which we could not. But this park is on a very nice golf course with a restaurant (greek food and spices) Maintenance of this park was fair in the sites, but the washrooms were really clean although they just had concrete floors.
